On a dare, John B. Pyka spent a year as a substitute teacher and came away from the experience profoundly impacted.

John B. Pyka was labeled as a troubled student early in his academic career. He was easily headed down scary path. One teacher took an interest in him and gave him direction. When John looks at today's students he sees himself and he sees a need for students to be encouraged and fueled by positive role models who invest in them and their futures. Believes that students are in desperate need of belief; belief in themselves, belief in their dreams, belief in their future, and most importantly belief from their teachers and parents.

In Dare To Dream Dare To Win! John shares his own moving story about how he overcame obstacles and challenges as a teenager (and as an adult) and went on to live his dreams as a successful entertainer and author. John challenges students to do the same - to find their passion and live it to the fullest without fear or hesitation. Further, John challenges teachers and parents to engage students to help them find their passions, encourage their ambitions and fuel their dreams.

Dare To Dream Dare To Win! isn't a program like any of John's other programs. It is designed to uplift, inspire and motivate. While it is entertaining (John uses his music and magic to illustrate key points), the focus is changing student's futures by showing them that there really is something to believe in.  When students leave the auditorium, John sincerely desires that each will feel empowered and will dare to dream and dare to win!
